Get out your husking peg…it’s time to pick corn! With more than 120,000 ears to pick, farmers could use your hand filling a horse-drawn wagon with field corn that will be ground into flour and donated to local food banks as part of Howell Farm’s Share the Harvest Program. Next, head to the barn to help shell and grind corn for Howell Farm’s animals…or the farmhouse to make a batch of cornbread from freshly-ground cornmeal.
